Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH
President and CEO
Scott Weingarten, MD, MPH is the co-founder, president, and chief executive officer of Zynx Health. Additionally, he is a clinical professor of medicine (Step II) at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the director of health services research at Cedars-Sinai Health System. Dr. Weingarten was also a tenured Professor of Medicine (in residence) at the UCLA School of Medicine.
After graduating from the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Weingarten completed his internship, residency and fellowship in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He later participated in a National Center for Health Services Research fellowship at the RAND/UCLA Center for Health Policy Study. During the fellowship, he also earned a master of public health degree at the UCLA School of Public Health. Dr. Weingarten has also worked as a primary care physician at Kaiser Permanente. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Weingarten has published approximately 100 articles and editorials on quality improvement and related topics. In addition, he is the author of chapters on improving the quality of patient care in some of the leading internal medicine textbooks including Internal Medicine ((ed. Stein JH), Fifth Edition), Hospital Medicine (Second Edition), and Comprehensive Hospital Medicine. He was a member of the Disease Management Advisory Committee of NCQA and has represented the American College of Physicians on healthcare issues in Washington, DC. Dr. Weingarten won the President’s Award and the Golden Apple Teaching Award at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has given more than 250 presentations on clinical decision support and related topics throughout the United States and internationally.
Dr. Weingarten was on the executive committee of the board of directors of the Institute for Medical Quality. He currently serves on the steering committee for the American Heart Association’s “Get With The Guidelines” program, and the quality improvement committee of the board of directors of St. Joseph’s Health System (14 acute care hospitals), and as a member of the Certification Process Advisory Group for the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT).
Gregory H. Dorn, MD, MPH
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Dorn is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Zynx Health, a Hearst Business Media Company. For 8 years with Zynx Health, he has helped guide the organization through changes of ownership and expanded the reach of Zynx solutions from less than 50 hospitals to more than 1300. Today, his major focus is the commercialization and acquisition of evidence-based point of care knowledge sources for deployment through computerized physician order entry systems, electronic medical record applications and medical devices.
Dr. Dorn is a lecturer on quality improvement for the UCLA Center for Health Services Management and a faculty presenter for Healthcare Information Management Systems Society meeting. With the team at Zynx Health, Dr. Dorn has successfully documented, in the peer reviewed literature, the impact of the Zynx Health evidence-based solutions on quality and safety.
Dr. Dorn is a graduate of Columbia University School of Engineering (Bachelor of Science) majoring in Operations Research with minors in Economics and Computer Science. He received his Medical Doctorate from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He served as house officer at UCLA Medical Center after which he went on to obtain his Masters (MPH) in Health Services from the UCLA Center for Health Services Management.
Dr. Dorn is a licensed practicing physician and member of the American College of Physician Executives and Health Information Management Systems Society.
Nancy Greengold, MD, MBA
Vice President and Medical Director, Hearst Business Media 
Nancy Greengold, MD, MBA, a board-certified internist, is vice president and medical director for Hearst Business Media, an operating division of Hearst Corporation. In this capacity, she works closely with First DataBank and Zynx Health, as well as with the Hearst Business Media group. Dr Greengold is also associate director of health services research at Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles, and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Greengold continues to practice medicine part-time in an urgent care setting, as part of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.
Dr. Greengold was one of the co-founders of Zynx and worked with the company from 1996 to 2002 when it was a subsidiary of Cedars-Sinai Health System. Prior to joining Hearst, she was vice president of clinical decision support for Wolters Kluwer Health where she was involved with the development of clinical information and decision support tools.
Dr. Greengold has lectured extensively on the subjects of evidence-based medicine, quality improvement, and clinical decision support systems. She was Principal Investigator on a grant received from the National Patient Safety Foundation and she and colleagues conducted a randomized controlled trial on hospital medication administration errors, which was published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Dr. Greengold has written numerous articles and editorials for medical and healthcare journals. She currently serves on the editorial advisory boards of several peer-reviewed healthcare publications.
After graduating from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Washington, DC, Dr. Greengold completed a 3-year residency in internal medicine followed by a one-year fellowship in health services research at Cedars-Sinai Health System. She subsequently received an MBA, with an emphasis on healthcare, from the University of California, Irvine.
